Zacharias Siokouros gave an online presentation at ESOF2020 EuroScience Open Forum in Trieste, on the 6th of September 2020. Zacharias presented CMMI and the areas they aim to be involved with, highlighted the objectives and implementation of the SoE project, and underlined the importance of Ocean Literacy which was also the main issue of discussions [...]
Online preparatory meetings continue for the SoE partners. Discussions include the programs of the workshops and summer schools to be planned in the next two years, and the development of the VR and 360 videos, regarding blue professions.
The Annual Report for Blue Economy 2020 was officially launched last week! In the "Education and Skills in the Blue Economy" chapter, a case study based on the results of MENTOR Project was presented, summarising some of the results about skills, educational offer and relevant information in the region. Work from distance continues for Sea of Experience. Another online meeting between the Cypriot partners and Greek coordinators of SoE was held today, with regards to the forthcoming deliverables, pending issues and potential obstacles that we may face due to the COVID-19.
Despite the worldwide challenges and anxiety caused by the pandemic, the 'Sea of Experience' project continues to work towards its aims. The partners of the project work from home and try to overcome the difficulties encountered. An online progress meeting between the Cypriot partners and the Greek coordinator was held today.

Professor Georgios Georgiou (UCY, partner) presented the Sea of Experience project, as well as the MENTOR project, at the 1st Annual Assembly of the Blue Growth Community project, in Montpellier, on February 4th-5th, 2020.
The Kick-Off Meeting of the project 'Sea of Experience' took place at the premises of Apopsi, in Piraeus, Greece on December 18, 2019. Members of all the partners gathered together and discussed the plan for the upcoming months.
