A successful Training School took place yesterday. The event was hosted at the premises of the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute. The presentations took place in a hybrid form. Prof. Georgiou welcomed all the participants and thanked all speakers for their contributions. The school was divided into 2 parts. In the 1st part, 5 presentations took place. The first presentation was given by NTUA professor Dr. Nikos Ventikos, and it was focused on Maritime Transport and Green Transition. The second presentation was given by the CEO of CMMI, Mr. Zacharias Siokouros, and it was focused on Combining Theory, practice, and Technology. The next two presentations were given by Evalion and Mrs. Despoina Davidou and Mrs. Anna Polychroniadou. The presentation focused on the description of the mentoring program of the project Sea of Experience and how it can assist the participants, and the second presentation focused on the soft skills required in blue careers. The final presentation was given by Capt. Vasileio Velmacho. Mr Velmachos showed in real time the simulator that they have on their premises. The audience was excited by the simulator.

In the second part of the school, a visit to the Larnaca port took place. The personnel of the port gave a guided tour of the port explaining the everyday operations. Also, the guide explained to the participants the range of the professions that can be employed in a port.

At the end of the school, all the participants received a certificate of attendance.
